FOUNDER
As the grandson of baseball legend Luke Easter, Terry Easter-Hairston serves as the Founder and President of the Luke Easter Foundation. A dedicated pastor and community leader, Terry blends spiritual guidance with practical advocacy to empower Black youth. Under his leadership, the Foundation honors his grandfather’s legacy through scholarships, youth development, and the preservation of Negro Leagues history. -
Chase Easter-Hairston
VICE PRESIDENT
As the great-grandson of Luke Easter, Chase Easter-Hairston is the living embodiment of the Foundation’s mission. As a biracial student-athlete excelling in both academics and sports, he personifies the resilience, integrity, and excellence we strive to foster in the next generation of Black youth. -
Rick Pitts
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
A Seattle native and Franklin High standout, Rick turned his childhood passion for baseball into a professional career after being drafted by the Kansas City Royals. After seven years in the minor leagues, he returned home to help build Baseball Beyond Borders (BBB). Since 2014, Rick has been instrumental in growing BBB into a thriving organization that empowers BIPOC youth through elite coaching, mentorship, and a commitment to bringing baseball back to the inner city. -
Renee Easter-Hairston
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Renee Easter-Hairston brings over 20 years of HR leadership to the Board of Directors. A champion of inclusive hiring and equitable development, she specializes in building talent pipelines through partnerships with HBCUs and community organizations. Renee is dedicated to advancing the Foundation’s mission by creating sustainable opportunities for the next generation of diverse leaders.
